Cette zone, a des limites nasales, temporelles, sup\u00e9rieures et inf\u00e9rieures, et l\u2019amplitude de ce champ de vision traduit l\u2019\u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 aussi bien du nerf optique que des voies optiques, depuis l\u2019\u0153il jusqu\u2019 aux aires visuelles c\u00e9r\u00e9brales situ\u00e9es dans la zone occipitale. Dans quelles pathologies peuvent apparaitre une perte de champ visuel? Le champ visuel peut \u00eatre affect\u00e9 par de nombreuses maladies neurologiques, du nerf optique, et aussi de la r\u00e9tine comme par exemple la r\u00e9tinite pigmentaire. Tout sp\u00e9cialement, une perte du champ visuel se produit avec le glaucome. Le glaucome est une neuropathie optique qui arrive surtout (bien que ce ne soit pas obligatoire) lorsqu\u2019 il y a une augmentation de la pression intraoculaire. Cette augmentation de la pression peut toucher la couche de fibres nerveuses et donc le nerf optique produisant une alt\u00e9ration du champ visuel. Souvent la perte du champ visuel est lente et silencieuse. C\u2019est pour cette raison que nous recommandons une visite chez l\u2019ophtalmologue \u00e0 partir de 40 ans pour contr\u00f4ler l\u00b4\u00e9tat de la pression, le nerf optique, et la r\u00e9tine.
